veta morphus

Experience deeper faith with academic credit.

about veta morphus

Veta Morphus is a national Christian leadership program for senior secondary students. It is designed for students who wish to explore and develop in the Christian faith in a practical, hands-on way.

It is a year-long course that enables year 11 and 12 students to grow in their Christian life and gain credit for their year 12 at the same time. Veta Morphus students connect with a group of God-focused friends, explore their faith with adult mentors, ask the hard questions, put their faith into practice and discover who they truly are in Christ… and do it all as a core part of their senior school pathway.

accreditation

On successful completion of Veta Morphus, students receive the 11236NAT – Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology, delivered through Evolation Learning Pty Ltd – RTO #45219

This is a Nationally Accredited VET qualification that contributes to the senior school certificate in each Australian State and Territory.

student experience

Veta Morphus students engage in the following six key learning experiences:

Ministry placement

This is faith in action. Choose where you want to serve, whether at school, your church or in the wider community. Discover and grow in your God given gifts and passions whilst developing your heart to serve.

Retreats

Come together with young people from across your state for transformational experiences of friendship, adventure and connection with God.

Peer groups

Meet weekly with a small group of peers and a leader with a focus on seeking truth, friendship and engaging with the Bible. A supportive place for thoughtful questioning as you grow in experience and understanding of the way of Christ.

Mentoring

Veta Morphus facilitates one on one mentors to provide you with support and guidance as you navigate this significant stage of life.

Bible engagement

Learn different ways to participate in the story of God and develop a real hunger for it. You’ll deepen your knowledge and understanding of God’s Word and what it means to live it out in daily life.

Christian community

Gather together in Christian community, discover what it means to truly play your part in the Body of Christ.

study options

This course is delivered in a mix of online teaching and assessment materials and intensive retreats. Due to the online content, a local Peer Group Supervisor is provided to facilitate student discussions and provide encouragement and accountability throughout the course. The Peer Group Supervisor is NOT the Trainer and Assessor of the course.

Can my School run Veta Morphus?

Yes! All you need is a teacher or a chaplain who will meet with students for 90 minutes per week (a ‘Peer Group Supervisor’), and a group of three students, and we will do the rest. No special qualifications required.
Even one or two students can get started by joining one of our online Peer Groups.

Can my Church run Veta Morphus?

Yes! Students from different schools can come together at your church, meeting outside of school hours, and it still counts for school credit.
Contact us to talk about how your school could be a hub for Christian learning for the students in schools across your region.
